Step 2 of Let It Fall is Coats & Entryway. It's worth doing now, before the entryway fills up with wet coats and boots for the next five months.
Check coats, scarves, gloves and umbrellas while it's still mild. Then let go of:
- lone gloves whose partner left years ago
- broken umbrellas (they never get fixed)
- the jacket nobody in the house reaches for
- shoes that hurt, and shoes for activities you no longer do
- the bag of bags hanging off the hook
Warm coats in good condition are worth donating now. Many charities run coat drives as the weather turns, so a coat you don't wear can go to someone who needs one this winter.
A clear entryway also makes every morning a bit easier. Fewer things to dig through on the way out of the door.
