Step 1 of Let It Fall is the Summer-to-Autumn Swap, and it comes with one rule: put away only the summer clothes you actually wore.
If something sat untouched in the closet from June to September, it had its chance. Storing it means paying for it in space for another year, then probably not wearing it again next summer either.
How to do it quickly:
- Take out everything summery: shorts, sundresses, swimwear, sandals, light shirts.
- Make one pile of things you wore at least a few times. Those get stored.
- Everything else goes in a bag. Donate the good stuff, sell anything worth it, recycle the worn-out pieces.
Then do the reverse with your autumn things as they come out. That sweater you were looking forward to? Great. The one you forgot you owned? Ask why.
Log the bag from the Let It Fall screen and watch your first leaves come down.
